A place to begin to know the thousand stories of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The Sierra de Santa Cruz National Monument is the tip of the iceberg of a land and people that have left their mark on the culture of Extremadura.
Museum
Interpretation Center

The Center is divided into several areas: one dedicated to Santa Cruz and its history, another to the Sierra, another to our sister city of Bolivia and an office where we have a small corner dedicated to Viriato.
Large photographic panels show some of the most outstanding buildings or remains, while a lectern tells in detail every moment and every place of history. It highlights a model made by the artist Chuty, who with more than a meter and a half long recreates with great success the physical environment where life unfolds in these parts.
And if you want access to research books and literature about this mysterious town and its unmistakable Sierra, they are available at the Center at a very affordable price. A way to take home a piece of the history and culture of this enigmatic place.
It is usually open, staffed by a person who can not only give you a guided tour of the Interpretation Center, but can also advise you on your visit to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, filling your day with interesting and exciting things to do.
